Luxury can be a fickle thing, especially in today’s world where having more money to spend than you actually need is considered by most the only luxury. Opulence and debauchery manifested in impossibly expensive clothes and accessories, art and a privileged life lived at the tops of sky scrapers, the modern version of the good old fashion palace, is what most people think of when questioned about the notion of luxury. We believe than in a world that’s constantly running forward and chasing the future, luxury can be a slow paced appreciation of one’s traditions.
Languages are dying all around us, cultural values are fading and rituals lie long forgotten as technology is taking over our lives, lives that sometimes feel as if they’d unfold on fast-forward. Digging into the past can bring forward long forgotten gems of a culture so rich, that’s bursting to be rediscovered and brought along into contemporaneity. What used to be luxurious once, might seem old fashioned and faded to some, however to the minds that can truly appreciate luxury in all its forms, it is just another opportunity to bring forward a breath of fresh air.
